SPC undertook a facility needs assessment and strategy for Rochdale using the ANOG guidance. The study involved extensive stakeholder engagement with the national governing bodies (NGBs), questionnaire development and analysis and use of Sport England analytical tools. The Facilities Planning Model (FPM) was also utilised to provide a baseline for the built facility work, local runs were also undertaken to assess the impact of growth in the context of the Greater Manchester Spatial Strategy (GMSS).
